Fifty years ago, a handful of Greek families that settled in the Durham Region had a vision. That vision was to preserve their Hellenic heritage in their newly adopted country . . . Canada. These families were the founders of the Greek Community as we know it today. Much fundraising has taken place with the dreams of one day building a community centre that would be a meeting place for Greeks within the Oshawa area and district. The aim is to unify Greeks both young and old. That dream is finally within reach of becoming a reality.  The Community owns a 14 acre parcel on Stevenson Road North and an active committee is tirelessly on a mission to bring that vision to fruition. 

The Greek Community of Oshawa is a non-profit organization without share capital. The Community is a registered Charity under the Income Tax Act of Canada.
