Chrysoula is passionate about teaching the Greek language and culture with young learners. She is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn. Her goal is to help students develop a meaningful connection to their Greek language, culture, and heritage 

 With over 12 years of experience in the field of education, training and management, Ms. Katerina is a dedicated and passionate Greek teacher committed to fostering a love of learning in her students. She holds a Bachelor's Degree of Science from an American University located in Virginian as well as an Honours Diploma from Seneca Polytechnic located in Toronto, Ontario. She specializes in integrating technology into the classroom to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Ms. Katerina believes in creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Outside the classroom,  she enjoys working on other activities, spending time with her family and kids outdoors, travelling, and learning new things 

 Maria has been teaching the Greek language for the past nine years and works in the educational field. Having grown up and attended school in Greece, she developed a deep connection to the Greek language and culture. Her family heritage is rooted in the western Peloponnese region, which she continues to visit almost every year. She is passionate about keeping the Greek language and traditions alive and making learning Greek meaningful, engaging, and part of everyday life for her students. 

Sophia has been a teacher with the TDSB and DDSB for over 20 years. She specializes in teaching languages and is passionate about Greek language  learning. Born and raised in Toronto, she spent her entire childhood attending Greek school through the TDSB Heritage

program where she learned to read and write. She spent every summer in Greece, where she was able to immerse herself in the Greek language and modern Greek culture. Her family has roots in southern Peloponnese and specifically from a tiny village outside of Olympia. This is her second year with the Greek School and she looks forward to another successful year.

 Ekaterina Catsiliras acquired a Major in Modern Greek Studies from the University of Toronto and began teaching Greek language learners 30 years ago. Her passion for the Greek language and culture has driven her to create an innovative approach to Greek language instruction that is focused on practical language use through basic grammatical principles.  Ekaterina also believes in making Greek a part of the daily life and practices of learners and encourages daily conversation with family members and vocabulary building activities.  Ekaterina’s family is from the prefecture of Elis in the western part of the Peloponnese region.
